Oh How Lovely Was the Morning

I just found this through a French blog: lessaintsdesderniersjours.blogspot.com (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints...all in one word, in French, on blogspot). It's about 4 1/2 minutes long. I loved it, and I thought you might, too! I got this off YouTube.

The Brotherhood Night

I must say I've been blessed. It seems my roommates get better and better each semester (no offense to my first roomies. You guys were exactly the perfect roommates for me then and amazing friends to me now). This time, I think we've got the best.

Our first Sunday together we called an apartment meeting.

Among other things, we set a list of rules, you know, like which cupboard belongs to which guy, what time we'll read scriptures and say prayers, and (the best rule) NO STEALING ANOTHER ROOMMATE'S GIRLFRIEND.

We're quite the bunch.

And in that meeting, we declared ourselves THE BROTHERHOOD.

Well, tonight happens to be James' birthday and the night designated for our top-secret, Brotherhood-Only BIRTHDAY/MOVIE BASH!

So, please, excuse us now. Cuz tonight we are ready for fun.

Just in case you missed it...

This picture was taken a few months ago. I never realized how wide-spread it would be. I thought I was just supposed to smile. Apparently it was intended to go big.

* It's on the internet (click here)
* And if you go to the campus library, it's on the screen saver for every screen.

I guess it's nice to be a poster boy for something so awesome and something so good. I'm glad they put me on those posters. It's nice to be the poster boy for the most coveted positions in school: I-Team Leaders and I-Reps.

So....in case someone didn't already pass the word along: I'm famous....well, not really. But I can sit down at any computer and I guarantee my someone says, "Hey! You're the boy from the picture!"

By the way....if you're interested. Apply here: (click it)

It's an experience of a lifetime.

Go ahead, apply online!
You'll be grateful you did.

Videos: Proposition 8

Proposition 8: Protecting the Divine Institution of Marriage

Have you heard of Proposition 8? It's the California proposition to amend the California Constitution to protect the divine institution of marriage. The vote will occur Nov. 4.

YOU CAN HELP, TOO!

If you're from California, please register to vote, and encourage other Californians to vote, too. Oct. 20th is the last day to register to vote.

WHAT CAN I DO?
Want more info? I'll post more soon. Check the top left corner for more links.
I especially like this one. It gives background information and more links to help you understand.

Please note that this does not in any way represent hostility or intolerance toward homosexuals or any others that may feel an inclination toward recognition of homosexual marriage. This measure will not take away any of the current rights they have, but it will protect the family and help ensure rights that are God-given. The link above explains more.

My I-Life (My Life at BYU-I)

My I-Life started, well....it was an inspiration, really. Okay, my life didn't start, but the whole idea was an inspired creation, really.

Over the 2008 Summer, I started a blog for a Communications Practicum I was doing. I entitled it: "We put the I in Team" Everybody knows there is no I in team, but I was then serving as the I-Team Director on the campus at BYU-I, so I thought it only natural to give it such a title. Besides, the blog (and my class) was all about my service.
I-Team oversees BYU-Idaho's "Get Connected" (a much cooler equivalent to new student orientation). They wear orange polos and have one of the most incredible blessings of campus: serving the new students when they arrive (see below).

Since some of the content featured our retreat (and other top-secret information...) I made it private and didn't want to spoil the fun. It served its purpose and was a lot of fun to make. I even got an A in the class.

A few months later, I got to thinking....why don't I blog some more? I'll keep the I-Theme and feature other service opportunities I have on campus, as well as other activities. In any case, I can showcase what we do and keep the friends--and distant relatives--posted (no pun intended) on my adventures, experiences, and I-fun.

So, I begin my new journey, featuring the I in me...or the I (for Idaho) in my life.

Le voici: My Life at BYU-I.
